Rules that connect two slices of your own roster automatically — no manual album, no review step.
In a nutshell
You describe two segments of your own roster with the same filters Albums use. Matchdiary keeps the visibility between them live.
Your roster
Everything is a filter you already know from building an album.
Name the rule
Something you'll recognise later — "Bangalore MBA brides ↔ grooms".
Define Group A
Set age, location, religion, education, occupation and any other filters for the first segment.
Define Group B
Set the filters for the segment Group A should automatically see.
Choose the direction
One-way (A sees B) or mutual (both sides see each other).
Pick a chat mode and switch it on
Request-approval or direct chat. The rule does nothing until it's active.
A rule is one-way unless you deliberately make it mutual.
One-way (default)
Mutual
Auto-Connect grants visibility; the chat mode decides whether a message needs your approval.
Request (default)
Direct
Always live, never stale
It's the fourth way a profile can become visible to a family, alongside suggestions, albums and interest history.
Family or bride/groom can view it
